Petra History
Petra began as a church plant from Hopewell Christian Fellowship in Elverson, PA in 1983. It grew out of a Bible study in the New Holland area with several families. For four years we met in the New Holland Fire Hall before purchasing land along Airport Road. We have been through three expansion projects and recently purchased the adjacent Farm property of 73 acres.
Petra is part of the Hopewell Network of Churches which includes both stateside and international churches. We are an interdenominational fellowship of churches with Anabaptist roots. We also network with other churches in our geographical region for outreach into our communities.
