Region Q Picnic
Everyone in Region Q (Lancaster and West) is invited to a picnic on Sunday, September 19, at 5 p.m. Andrew and Joy Steckbeck will host the picnic at their home. Please bring a simple hot or cold dish to share. Please RSVP to the Steckbecks at steckbecks@yahoo.com
Region M Picnic
Individuals and families who live in Region M (Denver and Adamstown area) are invited to a picnic on Sunday, September 26, at 4 p.m. The meal will be served at 5. Come to the home of Jim and Ruth Good. Please bring lawn chairs and a food item; people whose last names begin with A-M should bring a side dish, and those with last names beginning with N-Z should bring a dessert. Chicken barbecue will be served as the main dish.
Region A Fun, Food, & Fellowship Night
Region A (New Holland East) will enjoy a great evening of food, fun, and fellowship together on Saturday, October 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. in Petra's MPR. Please bring one hot dish and one cold dish to share.
Region I Picnic
Region I (Goodville, Morgantown, Honey Brook area) is planning its Fall Picnic for Sunday, October 10, at 3 p.m. It will be at John and Cheryl Zimmerman’s home. Please bring hot dogs and rolls for your family plus salad or dessert. Join others around the campfire for food and fellowship together.

Plan now for the 2010 Marriage Beach Retreat, which will be held October 15-17 at the beautiful Grand Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland. The theme is “Building a Legacy”. The cost to register is $275 per couple. Last day for registration is September 15.

The purpose of this school is to train leaders to impact the world. We want to provide practical, textbook information as well as Holy Spirit empowered impartation and activation. The classes are Friday night 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. Weekends include:

Tell a Friend...Build a House!
Bringing One More Family Home for Christmas! You are invited to participate in a project this fall to build a home for a family in Louisiana who lost its home to Hurricane Ike two years ago. Petra is excited to join with Garden Spot Village to build the home through Mennonite Disaster Service’s Partnership Home Program. Walls for the home will be built by Petra and Garden Spot volunteers at Garden Spot Village on September 25. Then, weekly teams of 10 volunteers per team from Petra will travel to the Gulf Coast and bring the home to completion during October and November. We are looking for people with and without construction skills, young and old, men and women! Travel and lodging costs will be paid from Garden Spot Village donations. Construction teams are projected as follows:
Team 1 October 2-10 Framing/roofing/siding/cook
Team 2 October 16-24 Framing/siding/electrical/cook
Team 3 October 23-31 Insulation/drywall/painting/cook
Team 4 November 6-14 Trim/painting/cabinetry/cook
Team 5 November 13-21 Electrical/flooring/painting/cook
Team 6 December 4-12 Final details/dedication
